Just For Fun

The websites in this section are just for fun. Have a laugh, have a think, stay a while and poke your nose around.

My Retro TVs

Watching thousands of TV clips from decades past, including full episodes of shows, commercials, music videos, and more. Each decade uses a UI resembling a TV from that time, and you can surf differen channels.

Sandboxels

A pixel life and chemistry simulation game. Set up different chemicals, materials, weather phenomena, and living things in your little box and see how they interact.

Pointer Pointer

This website has a fun little joke, but it would ruin the surprise if I told you.

Drive & Listen

Ride shotgun with someone driving around one of many cities around the world, listening to local radio.

Cloudhiker

The glorious return of StumbleUpon. Don't remember StumbleUpon? The idea is simple: tell the site what sort of topics you're interested in, hit the button to be taken to a random webpage related to one of those topics. It's a great way to find even more hidden gems around the internet.

Spend Elon Musk's Fortune

See what it would take to spend all of Elon Musk's money.

Hatnote: Listen to Wikipedia

Every time wikipedia is edited, this website plays a sound. The sounds change based on size and type of edit. It makes for very soothing background music, and you click on the visualizer to go to the articles that were edited!

De Visdeurbel

"The Fish Doorbell" is a live feed of a canal in the Netherlands. The canal is blocked off, which can trap fish. If you see too many fish, ring the doorbell to let the local authorities know to open the gate for the fish!

The Human Clock

Displays a photograph that contains the current time, though not always on a clock.

Is My Blue Your Blue?

A cute little quiz. Answer whether you believe a color is blue or green, then see where your line between the two colors compares to other people.

Hypertranslate

Translate text through any number of languages on Google Translate automatically.

PCjs Machines

This site recreates old operating systems and other software in your browser.

Ginzan Onsen

Wander around a scanned 3d model of the actual Ginzan Onsen in Japan. A bit laggy and strange, but very cool nonetheless.

Lettervoxd

A roundup of extraordinarily rare words found in subtitles (and their meaning, so you can use them too).

NoClip

This website lets you zoom around old 3d videogame levels. It's a ton of fun to poke your nose around places you weren't meant to see.

Virtual Lava Lamp

Designed by Lucia Gomez, you can change the color and physics of the lamp with sliders.

MicropolisJS

An in-browser city building game in the vein of the original SimCity.
